Time for some introductions! Many French families have home pages on the Web, which allow you to meet the families' members and find out something about them.

Get to know a few French families by reading their home pages. Imagine how you would introduce yourself and your family on a home page in French.

As you know, le monde francophone includes a variety of far-flung countries, not just France. What's going on right now? Some "WebCam" sites let you answer that question for yourself by showing you what's happening in "real time" at certain locations.

Check out one or two of these WebCam sites. Comment on some activities you see, using depuis plus expressions of time. For example, you might look at the Canal+ site and say, «La carafe de café est vide depuis dix minutes.»

Note that WebCams occasionally shut down. If a site you visit isn't showing live pictures, try visiting a different one.
