The story "Brother Coyote and Brother Cricket" names many animals that can be found in Texas. Write a short story set in one of Texas's four major regions: The Coastal Plains, the North-Central Plains, the Great Plains or the Mountains and Basins region. As you write, place yourself as an animal character in the story and include personal observations and questions about traveling in that part of Texas.
