Lesson Generalization

Greek word parts can be combined in different ways to make English words. They are joined in almost the same way as English words are joined to make compound words:

telephoto/photograph       touchdown/downstairs
(combined word parts)      (compound words)

Knowing the meaning of the separate parts will help you to understand the many words made by combining the parts.
