Lesson 6.6: Help for Exercises 45-47 on page 369
Before you begin these exercises, draw a quadrilateral and label its vertices, in order, with the letters A, B, C, and D. Then draw and . What are these segments called? Think about the properties of these segments for all the quadrilaterals you have studied. In some quadrilaterals they are congruent, in some they are perpendicular, and in some they bisect each other.
For Exercise 45, try drawing and so that they bisect each other, but they are not perpendicular or congruent. Then draw the quadrilateral ABCD and identify the type it must be. For Exercises 46 and 47 try a similar approach.
