Lesson 11.2: Help for Exercises 40-44 on page 674

For Exercises 40-44, three diagrams are given. You will draw only one diagram for this set of exercises. Although the given diagrams may be helpful, you need to use the text to complete the construction. Read and do one sentence at a time, labeling your diagram with the letters of the points determined from that sentence. (For example, after you complete Exercise 40 your diagram should have points Q, A, B, and C labeled.)

For Exercises 40 and 41, you will construct the perpendicular bisector of and the midpoint of . If you cannot remember how to do these constructions, review the construction given on page 34.

For Exercise 44, you might want to use a different colored pencil when you draw the pentagon so that you can see it clearly. To find the area, review Example 3 on page 671.
