Write a story
Your class was invited to write and illustrate children's books in Spanish for a local elementary school. Write a short story that would appeal to young children.

Purpose: Provide books in Spanish for local children
Audience: Elementary schoolchildren
Subject: Story writing
Structure: Picture book

Determine the lead character and the main points in the action. What are the events leading up to the main conflict? How is the conflict resolved? Make clear why the characters want it resolved. Describe the physical traits and personalities of the characters. The guidelines and chart on pages 172–173 of your book might help you plan your story.
