Microscopic plants called phytoplankton make up the base of the ocean's food chain. These satellite images show the concentration of chlorophyll from phytoplankton for each month of a year. Higher concentrations of phytoplankton mean more nourishment is available for fish and other marine animals. Examine how plant productivity changes over a year.
