Microscopic plants called phytoplankton make up the
base of the ocean's food chain. These satellite images
show the concentration of chlorophyll from phytoplankton
for each month of a year. Higher concentrations of phytoplankton
mean more nourishment is available for fish and other
marine animals. Examine how plant productivity changes
over a year.
