Security cameras at three locations near Seattle, Washington recorded activity before, during, and after an earthquake. The 6.8-magnitude quake originated approximately 30-35 miles below Earth's surface at a point about 35 miles southwest of Seattle. Damage from the quake was relatively slight, in part due to the great depth of the quake.
Watch for the effects of the earthquake in each clip. Use the time stamps in the lower left corner of each movie to figure out when the shaking started and how long it lasted at each location.
