ES0807  Examine an animation of plate movement predicted for the future.

This animation takes the average plate motion observed over the past one million years and projects it 100 million years into the future. The model does not account for continental collisions, subduction, or sea-floor spreading; it simply shows where continents would end up if they were to keep moving in their current directions at their current rates. Examine areas where two or more of Earth's plates would overlap in the future. Imagine how Earth's actual plates might respond to the projected plate motion.
