Lesson 4.1: Help with Exercises 33-36 on page 204

Remember that if two matrices are equal, corresponding elements of the matrices are equal. For example, if = , then a = 4. If operations on matrices are included, simplify the equations to the form matrix A = matrix B. Look at Examples 2 and 3 on page 200 for help with adding matrices and multiplying a matrix by a scalar. Then set elements equal to solve for x and y.
