The Goethe-Institut is a worldwide organization active in imparting the German language and culture. 127 cultural institutes in 76 countries work on behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany. They run cultural programs, give German language lessons, support teachers, universities, and local authorities in the promotion of the German language and provide up-to-date information about Germany.

The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL)

ACTFL is the only national organization dedicated to the improvement and expansion of the teaching and learning of all languages at all levels of instruction. ACTFL is an individual membership organization of more than 7,000 foreign language educators and administrators from elementary through graduate education, as well as government and industry.

American Association of Teachers of German (AATG)

The AATG is the only national individual membership organization dedicated to the advancement and improvement of the language, literature, and culture of the German-speaking countries.
